My first role was an internship at a university-affiliated startup. There I was introduced to Go (Golang) and decided to pursue backend engineering, focusing on website systems.

During that internship I worked on projects to digitize the university’s administrative workflows. That experience taught me to design reliable server-side systems (REST APIs, RBAC, data migrations) and to care deeply about usability and performance in production.

After all that, I wanted to push myself further. I set out to find a role where I could own backend services end-to-end—designing for reliability, low latency, and cost at scale. I joined a larger organization with rigorous code reviews, CI/CD, and clear incident playbooks. There, I had operated high-traffic services for 100K+ users, applying core distributed-systems principles.
